Myths

“If I do not exercise, I do not need creatine.”

Facts

Creatine has a role in everyday physical effort.

Creatine is not relevant exclusively to athletes. It plays a role in short-term, high-intensity physical exertion, including ordinary activities such as running to catch a bus or lifting a heavy object.

The body naturally produces creatine, while supplementation increases its creatine stores. This may help the body perform short, intense tasks and manage repeated high-intensity efforts. Review studies indicate that the potential applications of creatine are not limited to athletes or structured exercise. [1]
